Healthier Delray Beach invited the community to a free screening of Paper Tigers – a powerful documentary chronicling the lives of traumatized teens and the community that took action to save them. With the City of Delray Beach, Old School Square and the Achievement Centers for Children and Families as partners for the event, HDB attracted 150 people on November 16th to the Crest Theatre to see the movie and stay after for a panel discussion. Principals and school staff, service providers and residents joined in conversation following the film about how the Delray Beach community can support youth towards their own success. Overwhelmingly, participants agreed to the old adage “it takes a village to raise a child” and this village by the sea is committed to doing just that!
