Starting June 25, 2018 – The Summer Youth Institute hosted by Pathways to Prosperity, Inc. is designed to help young people living in Boynton Beach between the ages of 16 and 18 learn about family caregiving and develop life skills and social growth. Training on job readiness, career exploration, financial literacy, and family caregiving will be held in a classroom environment. Youth will be matched with program providers and partners in BoyntonBeach to learn about their work and contribution to the community. Participants will learn about Healthier Boynton Beach and complete a service learning project. This is an opportunity for our young people to learn and showcase their creative ideas to improve the lives of family caregivers.
The program accepts participants who are 16 – 18 years of age, currently in high school and reside in Boynton Beach. Orientation begins on June 18th from 9am to 1pm at Pathways to Prosperity 970 N. Seacrest Blvd. Boynton Beach, Fl 33435. The program is six weeks in duration and each participant will report to their learning site on June 25th 2018 and ends on August 3rd 2018. Participants meet 4 days a week from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the designated site. Each participant will be awarded a stipend up to $165.00 each week based on their weekly participation.
